Dense atmosphere

Molfetta is a southern Italian coast town, I’ve always liked this part of it , picturesque and medieval; it strikes me as coming out of a De Chirico’s surrealistic painting for it’s architecture.
I just plunged it in a dense atmosphere …. I enjoyed putting the layers of warm light . I think I would have gone on for ever if I hadn’t got to hand it over to the client……

DI ME.....

Siamo il prodotto del nostro ambiente , siamo ciò che siamo attraverso lunghe ere evolutive dettate dal caso e dalla necessità di sopravvivere. Non è di teoria evolutiva che voglio parlare,non sono la persona adatta.

Vorrei solo spendere due parole su quella che è la mia personale evoluzione,facilmente rintracciabile attraverso la somiglianza alla mia nonna paterna con carnagione di nonno materno. Una combinazione del caso, poi arriva la lunga educazione….

Quindi dipingo: simbolista, surreale, iperrealista…….ha poca importanza, le mie immagini hanno delle fondamenta nel surreale, un surreale radicato e nato molto prima di quanto si possa immaginare.

Il surreale fatto di vecchie e nuove religioni.

Il surreale delle filastrocche.

Il fascino per Dalì è tutto adulto.

Non può sfuggire la normale stranezza delle parole di: How many miles to Babylon? Le parole di questa filastrocca racchiudono l’essenza dell’immaginazione.

How many miles to Babylon?
Three-score miles and ten.
Can I get there by candle-light?
Yes, there and back again.
If your heels are nimble and light,

Ho visitato la Babilonia della filastrocca, dove non dovevano esserci, ho toccato gli angeli liberi dalle schiere celesti e centauri con un solo corpo a cinque gambe…ero sveglia, non ero fatta ed ero al British museum.

Dali’s fascination is an adult one. You can’t overlook the normal oddity of: How many miles to Babylon? this nursery rhyme holds the essence of imagination.

How many miles to Babylon?
Three-score miles and ten.
Can I get there by candle-light?
Yes, there and back again.
If your heels are nimble and light,

I saw the nursery rhymes’ Babylon where it shouldn’t have been, I touched the army free angels, and the one bodied five legged centaurs… full awake and not stoned, I was at the British museum.
